Technorama & Fotomuseum

März 23, 2012

On wednesday I went on a museumtrip to Winterthur to go the Swiss Science Center: Technorama and the Fotomuseum.

Technorama

I was interested to see the different installations and what sort of interaktion really works in terms of to be engaging and fun. My conclusion is that the most successfull installations were the ones that you could either touch or play with to get a reaction. People don´t get in line to watch what happens when a light hits a prism. This confirms my initial thoughts regarding the interaction in my project; I definetely need to create an engaging layer in order to get enthusiasm and people to interact. www.technorama.ch/

Fotomuseum

The ongoing exhibition at the  Fotomuseum was Diane Arbus which I was needless to say very interested in. I was pretty excited to finally get to see her work in an exhibition and I was not disappointed. I simply love her seemingly effortless portaits of people. http://www.fotomuseum.ch/ The Fotostiftung had an exhibition by Jean-Luc Cramatte called Inventar. Jean-Luc Cramatte has been preoccupied with the notion of the photographic inventory for almost 20 years. Quite the opposite with no people present in the photograph at all but interesting to see how a room with just invetory can create feelings and familiar stories. http://www.fotostiftung.ch/
