On Tuesday Max Rheiner (my mentor) and me went to Lausanne to see Julien Pilet which is a Ph.D at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. He has started his own augmented reality company, www.aptarism.com. Julien har developed Polyora: A scalable multi-objects retrieval and tracking library. This is fantastic for image tracking which you can see here: Here is also a link to his research page: www.hvrl.ics.keio.ac.jp/~julien/research.php The image tracking system of Polyora is just perfect for my project in the sense that it tracks incredibly fast and doesn´t need markers. We´re going to explore the code which is open source and see how we can adapt it to fit into my project. Julien Pilet will contribute as an external AR guru mentor for my project.
