Interaction Design Sketching
The second topic will cover sketching ideas for interaction design. Other methods, such as design matrix, speed-dating, bodystorming, scenario enactment will be discussed.Exercise 2: Design Matrix
We prepare a matrix in which two dimensions are linked to potential design problem. One axis is the action (for example: walking, blowing, cutting, drinking) and the other is a physical artefact (for example: glass, keys, bottle, umbrella). The combination of the two axis defines the space of design opportunities that are to be filled by interactive concepts using design speed-dating approach. Choose one or two concepts and elaborate on them by following Bill Verplanks model of sketching ID experiences.
