As previously mentioned I converted my 3d object to a 2d surface this allowed me to lasercut it out of a 2mm thick, transparent plexiglass. In the above image you can see how many variations or times I had to lasercut. This process was extremely fast.
Now by having the cutout I proceeded to shape it by using plexiglass' thermoforming properties. By using a heat gun I could shape the material as I pleased. For mold I found a wood rod which had the identical diameter as my finger. The final step was to process the surface by sandblasting it. This gave the object a elegant touch. As the whole project was based on a touch and go system of making and testing I had to return to the drawing board to allow for changes which was a real joy.
